Selection of Cooling Systems for Laser Cladding

The core principle for selecting a suitable cooling system for laser cladding lies in "matching process requirements, adapting to equipment parameters, and conforming to operating conditions", ensuring both stability and efficiency.

Core Selection Dimensions

Precise Matching of Temperature Control Accuracy: Prioritize systems with a temperature control accuracy of ≤±0.1℃. Laser cladding is extremely sensitive to temperature fluctuations, and high-precision temperature control can prevent process parameter drift and ensure cladding quality.

Calculating Adaptability of Heat Dissipation Capacity: Calculate the heat dissipation requirement based on the laser power and cladding head type. The cooling capacity of the cooling system should have a reserved margin of 20%-30% to avoid insufficient heat dissipation under high-power operating conditions.

Verifying Stability and Reliability: Give priority to systems equipped with closed-loop temperature control and flow/pressure monitoring and alarm functions to reduce the risk of shutdowns. Meanwhile, pay attention to the durability of core components (such as compressors and heat exchangers) to lower long-term maintenance costs.

Adapting to On-Site Operating Conditions and Compatibility: Consider the workshop ambient temperature and water quality conditions (closed-circuit circulation systems are preferred to prevent scaling). Additionally, the system must be compatible with the interfaces and installation space of existing laser cladding equipment to avoid compatibility issues.

Balancing Maintenance Convenience and Cost: Choose systems that are easy to operate, clean, and replace consumables (such as filter elements). At the same time, pay attention to energy consumption indicators to reduce long-term electricity expenses for operation.
